Account Deletion

Primary method — directly in the app

You can delete your BaladeZen account at any time, directly from the app:

  1. Open the BaladeZen app
  2. Go to the Account tab (bottom right)
  3. Scroll to the "Delete my account" section
  4. Confirm in the double validation prompt

Deletion is immediate and permanent.

Alternative method — by email

If you no longer have access to the app (lost phone, uninstalled, etc.), email us at:

Please include the email address associated with your BaladeZen account. We process all requests within 30 days in accordance with GDPR.

Data deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently erased:

  • Your email address and password (hashed)
  • Your active reports (hunts, hazards, events)
  • Your push notification token and notification preferences
  • Your sign-in history

Data retained (anonymized)

For security and proper service operation, some technical data may be retained in anonymized form (with no possible link to your identity):

  • Technical logs on Supabase (IP addresses, API requests): kept for 30 days then deleted
  • Expired reports you created (they were public to the community during their maximum 4-hour lifespan, then archived without any link to your identity)

Timelines

  • Via the app: immediate deletion
  • By email: within 30 days maximum (usually much faster)
